Random ramblings

Midterms are over for the most part, Well, I get a week breather, and then another 3 weeks of of midterms, a week breather, then 2 some more midterms and then exams. To think that the term is almost over...

Some things I learned today.. even though I was very sleepy at church today. (Sorry God..)

Greed - root of lots of problems.. "Me, mine, myself, I"..
To combat Greed.. use
Gratitude - "it could be worse." Be thankful for what you've been given. Rejoice in ALL circumstances.
Generosity - give what you have. You know you're sincerely thankful when you can give what you have to others, even if they're not deserving.

Some things I learned at CC:
I wrote down quotes from various people during the conference and here's some of the quotes I jotted down.

Pearls of Wisdom:
Isaiah 49:5-6
"live Jesus"
"we are the Jesus generation, but they are not. How can they know Christ if we don't tell them?"
"listen & pay attention!" (reminded me of sister act 2 - "if you want to be somebody, if you want to go somewhere, you better wake up and pay attention!")
"I don't have it in me, but please help me to be like you (Jesus)"
"REALLY care for people"
"Haystack prayer meeting - pray and follow up with action"
"Are my actions glorifying God?"
"Many missionary movements were ignited by students who shared a global vision"
Colossians 1:24 - 2:1
"In the name of Jesus you can do all things"
"To give what you can't keep, to gain what you can't lose"
"be humble & meek"
"when you share, there will be enough to go around"
1 Cor 13
Joy does not come from circumstances, but it comes from Jesus.

"God, please grant me the strength I lack to stay standing. Please grant me the courage I lack to keep walking. Please grant me the joy I lack to keep smiling."
