mood of the day: disappointed in myself...for completely forgetting my etiquette and manners.

Well, first I missed the CN Tower, now I forget my etiquette. This is not very cool at all...for some reason, my friends are telling me that it's not that big of a deal - which probably isn't - but I'm still pretty upset at myself for forgetting to do these "little things." It's these little things that often emerge to carry the most importance. The Taiwanese reputation?! :-)

So Mel's family was about to leave for dinner - they were heading out. So I came out as well, but right away, I committed two insolent mistakes. Blah...I should know better. So sorry!

(1) I forgot to thank Mel's parents (and Mel herself) for letting me disturb them once again...I've been over quite a few times as of late and I really hope I'm not cutting into their normal lives with me being there all the time.

(2) Mel's mom, Aunty Pat, was ready to get into her car. I somehow managed to forget to close the door after her - yup, I completely forgot my manners of closing the car door for the ladies. Bah!!!

Mel...Thanks for putting up with me...I'll keep working on these manners OK?
